FAQ

What exactly do you do?  

My job is to help you reach your goals of an organized, simplified space from beginning to end.  I work side by side with you to make decisions about what to keep (and why) and what to donate, recycle or throw out.  After that process, we decide together where and how to organize what's left.  


How long will it take?  

Every project is different, and every client is different.  My job is help you focus and to work at a comfortable pace.  If a project is long, and takes more than one session, I may give you "homework" to work on in between sessions.  


How much will getting organized cost?

It is difficult to estimate how long a project will take because there are so many variables - how quickly decisions are made, your expectations, schedules, etc.  I charge by the hour and after our first session we will have a better idea of how long it might take.   


I'm moving....do you help with that?

Yes, definitely!  Prior to your move, I will help you go through the simplifying process so you're not moving, and paying for, unnecessary/unwanted things.  On moving day, I can be at your home to answer any questions for the movers, make sure everything is ready to go, etc.  If moving locally, I can be at your new house to help you unpack and organize your home in a way that makes sense to you. I can help you arrange for movers, house cleaners, utility hook-ups, etc. - however, I do not personally do any of those things.  


Do you bring supplies and bins with you when you come?

At every visit, I will bring general supplies, such as black trash bags (for trash), white trash bags (for donations), packing tape, label maker, extra batteries, scissors, markers, sticky notes, business cards for different services you might need, etc.  In most cases, you already have the bins/containers/furniture you need to get organized and my job is to help you think outside the box to use what you already own.  However, I am happy to suggest supplies and will shop for you (you will be charged for the supplies and my hourly rate for the time it takes to shop).  


Do you work on the weekend?

Yes, I will work on the weekend, or when it is most convenient for you.  


What do I need to do before you come?

Nothing!  It is helpful for me to see exactly what your space looks like so I can make the best suggestions for organizing that space.  


Are you insured?

Yes!  I carry full insurance coverage.
